Tara's 25 year journey has taken her from rural Florida, to GangTerritory in North Long Beach, CA, and to one of the largest highschools in Tennessee with students representing over 37 countries.She is recognized as a specialist in connecting with youth andbuilding relationships with students and staff. Her career hasimpacted mainstream, at risk teens and nontraditional leadersby empowering them with leadership and life skills and guiding them toward the life theyenvisioned. She received the Pioneer Award and Teacher of the Year award in 2006 for herwork in piloting the Leadership Development program at Antioch High School. Her passioncontinues to drive her to work with teachers across the nation to better equip them with theability to connect and have meaningful relationships with their students, in order that morerelevant learning can take place. Tara's workshops are designed to help introduce educatorsto the latest brain-based learning research and resiliency factors, as well as provide classroom implementation strategies.

Amie Dean, M.Ed., B.A. has worked in education for 21 years. She has experience teaching at all levels, and has taught both special and general education. She was with Fulton County Schools (GA) for ten years, four of which she provided support to teachers and students as the Student Support/RTI Coordinator for her middle school. She holds a Masters degree in Education and is Nationally Board Certified as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. With 21 years experience as an educator and 10 years as a professional consultant, Amie has worked with thousands of teachers, counselors and administrators in over 250 districts to improve best practices in behavior support, student engagement, and differentiated instruction. Amie has trained with Dr. Rick DuFour, Dr. Kay Burke, Dr. Spencer Kagan, Dr. Ruby Payne, and many others.

Lisa has worked with students developing and using innovative practices as a school counselor for 20 years. She has won numerous awards in her district and presented her programs at local, state and national conferences. Lisa has authored five books including her latest book, Mindset Matters: A Counseling Curriculum to Help Students Understand how to Help Themselves Succeed with a Growth Mindset (2016). Other books of hers include, Making the Link (2005), Academic Advisement Program (2006), Teaching Career Essentials (2015) and How to Create A College Day (2016). Lisa attended Tufts University for her undergraduate degree and Georgia State University for her graduate degrees. She lives in Marietta, GA (Atlanta suburb) with her husband and daughter.

Dan St. Romain
Dan St. Romain is a national educational consultant who provides staff development and consultative services to educators K-12. Dan is passionate about helping individuals shift their perspective on behavior, understanding the best ways to provide support given the challenges posed in today's society. He regularly presents on topics impacting school climate, brain-based instruction, developmentally appropriate educational practices and presentation skills. Dan's overwhelming strength is his skill as a presenter. Although his sessions are exceedingly interactive and engaging, his greatest asset lies in his ability to offer participants rich insight into the connectedness between educational practices and student behavior.
